Krosuru (Palnadu dist), May 3: Reiterating that TDP president Chandrababu Naidu’s election promises are just like a flash in the pan and would last only till the polls, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy cautioned people not to fall prey to his shallow promises as it has become a routine for him to hack their gullibility into votes.
Addressing a huge public meeting here on Friday, the Chief Minister said that Naidu defaulted on the 2014 election manifesto promise of waiver of farms loans worth Rs. 87, 612crore, self-help group loans worth Rs. 14, 205crore, on deposit of Rs. 25,000 on birth of girl babies under Mahalakshmi scheme, on allotment of 3-cent house sites to the poor, job for every house hold and Rs. 2000 monthly stipend for the unemployed in the absence of job.
Naidu’s super six and super seven promises are impracticable and a vote for TDP will enable him to dump them into dust bin this time also, he warned people.
In contrast, the YSRCP, regards its manifesto as Bhagavad Gita, Quran and the Bible, brought in revolutionary changes in the administration in the last 58 months and ensured door delivery of monthly social pensions through volunteer system and preventive health care through Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha camps and enhancement of the Aarogyasri limit up to Rs.25 lakh.
That apart, Government has created 2.31 lakh Government jobs and distributed 31 lakh house site pattas besides constructing 22 lakh houses for weaker sections, he said, adding it has also ushered in social justice by implementing slew of welfare schemes like Jagananna Thodu, Chedodu, Nethanna Netam, Matsyakara, Sunna Vaddi, Cheyutha and Aasara.
