Will take oath at Visakha: CM

Ichchapuram, (Srikakulam dist), May 7: Reiterating that he would take oath as Chief Minister at Visakhapatnam that would become the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted the activities initiated by the Government in the last five years for development of North Andhra.
Addressing a huge election meeting here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said unlike TDP that neglected the region,  YSRCP paid special attention towards it.
The three districts of North Andhra have been reorganised into six districts as part of decentralisation and the works of Rs. 4400 crore Moolapeta Port and Bhogapuram International airport along with the six-lane highway to Visakhapatnam are under progress.
Government is also building two fishing harbours at Budagatla Palem and one at Pudimadaka apart from fish land centres, he said, adding that besides Infosys, Adani Data Centre is also coming up at Visakhapatnam.
Government spent Rs.780crore for bringing surface water from Hiramandalam Reservoir to solve the problems in Uddhanam area besides establishing a Rs. 80-crore worth Kidney hospital and research centre, he said.
Four new medical colleges are coming up at Parvathipuram, Paderu, Narsipatnam and Vizianagaram. A Tribal University and a tribal engineering college are coming up at Salur and Kurupam respectively.
Apart from establishing JNTU at Vizianagaram, Government has been constructing five multi speciality hospitals in ITDA regions and 400 cell phone towers worth Rs. 400crore have been erected for mobile connectivity in tribal areas, he said.
Apart from the above, 1. 53 lakh tribal families have been given RoFR and DKD pattas over 3. 23 lakh acres making them eligible for Rythu Bharosa for improving the livelihood of tribals, he said, adding that English medium schools have also become accessible now for even tribal students.
On the other hand, not even a single welfare or development programme would come to our mind when one thinks of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu who was at the helm for three terms, he said, adding that Naidu defaulted on his 2014 election promises after winning the people’s mandate with attractive promises in alliance with Jana Sena and BJP.
The TDP and its allies have now come out with super six and super seven manifesto to cheat the people again, he said and cautioned them to be wary of Naidu’s gimmicks.
Naidu has also stopped so low that he has stalled door delivery of social pensions and transfer of DBT funds to the beneficiaries, once again displaying his anti-poor polices, by lodging complaints to the Eelction Commissions through his stooges, he said,
A strong vote in favour of YSRCP will teach a befitting lesson to the TDP and also shake the Delhi Chair, he told the people, observing that the victory journey should begin from Srikakukam district.
