Ambajipeta: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy appealed to people to judiciously decide on whom to vote picking the right Party based on the previous record.
On one sise stands Jagan with 58 month of achievements in tune with the manifesto and on other side is the Chandrababu led alliance which has shown scant respect to its poll promises.
It is for you to decide who is the hero and who is the villain, he said addressing a large gathering here on Monday.
Playing to the gallery in region which has huge craze for films, he said people generally like the heroes in movies as they do good and hate villains as they are bad.
Likewise, people should also assess who did good and who would do good in real life, he said, adding that they should exercise their franchise in favour of those who did good to them in the last five years.
The Chief Minister said that he is waging a lonely battle on behalf of the poor with political opportunists led by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu who failed on all fronts between 2014-19.
After that the five-year long journey of welfare that benefitted all poor across the State should move forward and this is only possible if YSRCP continues in power, he asserted.
The TDP and its allies cannot show a single logical reason for defeating Jagan who has implemented plethora of welfare schemes that brought smiles on the faces of the poor. On the other hand there are plenty of reasons to show the exit door to TDP and its allies in the ensuing elections.
The TDP, Jana Sena and BJP combine wants to defeat Jagan in the elections to discontinue the journey of house-to-house welfare and development, slew of welfare schemes, door delivery of welfare benefits to the people and to deprive the poor of their rightful due, he stated.
On the contrary, TDP should be defeated for failing to implement the 2014 election promises of loan waiver of self-help groups and farmers, allotment of three cent house sites for the poor, Rs. 25,000 incentives for the birth of girl child, job for every family and monthly stipend for the unemployed.
The forthcoming elections are not a war between Jagan and Chandrababu but it is a battle between the pro-poor Jagan and the poisonous and feudalistic Naidu, his foster son Pawan Kalyan and the pro-TDP media who together pursued a policy of plunder, stash and devour.
