Chandrababu hoodwinked people in the name of steel plant

YSR Congress Party's MPs are continuing their protest for the Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh in New Delhi. On Friday before the session began the YSRCP MPs held placards, near the Gandhi statue in the premises of the House and shouted slogans. YSRCP MPs V. Vijayasai Reddy, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, and former MP Velagapalli Varaprasad Rao participated in the protest.
Right after the session began the MPs trooped in close to the speaker’s podium and in order to be heard and explain the anguish of the people of Andhra Pradesh and make themselves heard to the Union government. Later talking to the media MP V Vijayasai Reddy said that if AP government were to pay salaries to all of its employees then they have to go for an overdraft, that is the condition of the government as of now . The total debt the state is in is almost a staggering Rs 2.5 lakh crores, he said further.
He also took pot shots at the TDP’s decision to construct a steel plant in the YSR Kadapa district. The YSRCP leader questioned as to how state government could build a steel plant and announce that a budget of Rs 18,000 Crore for the project . How are they going to generate that kind of money, have they made any allocations in the budget regarding that, he asked He added that the steel plant was supposed to be constructed by Union government but the state government wants to now fund the project, Vijayasai Reddy said.
CM Ramesh, a benami of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has bought lands in the surrounding areas of the plant and foundation stone was laid so that they can start real estate business there, he said. Claiming that it was CM Ramesh's steel factory and not Kadapa steel factory,another YSRCP leader Velagapalli Varaprasad Rao said that Chandrababu has hoodwinked people in the name of Kadapa steel plant, Dugarajapatnam port, railway zone.
