Dalit funds not spent by TDP

Hyderabad, March 25: YSR Congress has said that Chandrababu Naidu has scant respect for dalits and the SC sub-plan figures show how the funds were depleted.

‘Though he held a review meeting with the SC leaders and made tall claims about their welfare, in reality he has curtailed the funds allocated to SCs and STs even as the plan outlay was increased,’ party SC Cell state president Merugu Nagarjuna told reporters here on Friday.

Chandrababu Naidu who has said that no one would be willing to take birth as a dalit shows his attitude towards dalits and the same reflects in the budget allocations.

The buget allocations were not in proportionate to the population of SC and STs and his tall talk remains only as an appeasement.

Though Rs 8,598 crores were to be spent for SC during 2014-15 the amount spent as per the data given by the State shows that Rs 2,619 crores were left out and the dalits are deprived of this amount, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu has been deceiving dalits and adivasis through GOs and diversion of funds, he said.
