Ever since the humiliating defeat in the by-polls, ruling Congress party is misusing police and foisting false cases on YSR Congress Party workers under the guidance of Minister DL Ravindra Reddy, party official spokesperson Bajireddy Govardhan said here on Wednesday.
“The district police at the behest of DL Ravindra Reddy, who lost deposit against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the Kadapa by-election, is foisting false cases and harassing YSRC Party workers,” he said.
Nearly 367 persons, including 30 women, were booked under various sections, some of them non-bailable, as they are supporters of YSR Congress, he said adding that rowdy sheets were opened against innocent people who were never involved in any cases.
Congress and TDP are joining hands in the harassment of YSRC party workers as both their candidates lost deposits in the by-election.
He demanded the State Government to take appropriate action against the officials as Kadapa has become an alienated land in the State.
Meanwhile, the party leaders released the poster of “Chenetha Deeksha”, Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be taking up at Dharmavaram from February 12 to 14
