We are not in touch with Congress: Aug 4, 2012

Hyderabad, August 4: Asserting that YSRCP is in no hurry to topple the State government, Nellore MP, MekapatiRajmohan Reddy denied the reports appearing in a section of press that the party leadership has been in touch in Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
“A delegation led by our Honorary President, YS Vijayamma did go to Delhi and met the Prime Minster, DrManmohan Singh and other ministers to apprise them of the farmers’ plight and the course of CBI investigation but no one had met Sonia Gandhi,” he told reporters here on Saturday.
Brushing aside the rumours that defections are being engineering to topple the government, he said, “there is neither need nor urgency. The anti-people policies of the State Government will ensure that it comes a far third in the elections.”
There is no credence to rumours that some ministers are in touch with us and we categorically deny the reports that we have a pact with Congress. “If that is the case, why should our Party President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy be in jail since May 27?”
We will fight our own elections to win the maximum seats and emerge as a force to reckon with and play an important role in the formation of government at the Centre joining hands with secular forces, he said.
