Press Release
Hyderabad, May 28, 2014: YSR Congress Party has constituted 3-member committees for district wise review of poll results in assembly and general elections in Seemandhra. The move is a precursor to the review of poll results by party president Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy beginning June first week.
The review committees were constituted at a meeting of the district unit observers and important leaders at the party central office here on Wednesday. Senior leaders Dr. M. V.Mysura Reddy and Ummareddy Venkateswarlu held discussions with the observers.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said the 3-member committees will undertake district wise tours from tomorrow and meet local leaders and activists for a thorough review of the poll results. The review is a first step in an effort to rejuvenate the party and take it much closer to the people, he said.
“The 3-member committees, after a tour of all 13 districts, will submit their reports to the leadership. This will be followed by district wise review of poll results by party president Jagan Mohan Reddy who will undertake a tour of the districts. The party chief will visit the districts from June 4 or 5, as per the tentative schedule,” he revealed.
Ummareddy said the committees were equipped with the details of the votes polled for YSRCP and TDP in municipal, MPTC and ZPTC polls as well as assembly and LS polls. “They will make a thorough review of the results for in-depth reports to be submitted to leadership.”
YSRCP will continue to monitor the Governmental programs and schemes and vehemently oppose the anti-people policies if any, he added.
