Expressing deep regret over the tragic incident at Achyutapuram, Former Minister Ambati Rambabu criticized the TDP coalition government for its lack of crisis management during the accident and for politicizing the issue. He called it a failure on their part and demanded strict action against those responsible.
Speaking to the media at the party's central office on Thursday, Ambati Rambabu questioned why there was no immediate response from the Chief Minister, Home Minister, or top officials who were present at the Secretariat during the incident.
He slammed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for politicizing the tragedy and blaming the YSRCP instead of focusing on the victims. He also pointed to similar accidents during Naidu’s previous tenure as Chief Minister, questioning the safety measures implemented at that time.
Ambati urged the government to conduct a thorough investigation into any negligence that may have caused the accident and to provide immediate financial assistance to the victims' families.
He condemned Chandrababu Naidu’s continued baseless accusations against the YSRCP, while asserting that Naidu's own party was responsible for weakening the system and failing to ensure safety during his tenure.
