Pulivendula: Senior YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy (68) sudden death has raised suspicions as per his PA Krishna Reddy.
Earlier in the morning, news of YS Vivekananda Reddy's death following a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Friday sent shock waves in the state. However, the place and manner in which he passed away, led to doubts of foul play as he was seen in a pool of blood in the bathroom.
YS Vivekananda Reddy after completing a campaign session returned home on Thursday night and was alone at the time. His servants found him in a pool of blood in the bathroom when they came in at six in the morning.
There were also injuries to his head and traces of blood near the bed as well. Apparently the back door was also open. His PA Krishna Reddy filed a complaint and Pulivendula CI Sankarayya registered it under Section 171 of the CrPC.
Senior YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member V Vijaysai Reddy has also referred to suspicious circumstances surrounding the leader's death. He called for a thorough and clear investigation by the police on behalf of the party as well as the leader’s family members. It is quite surprising as to how a perfectly healthy person like him could fall down, he added. The Pulivendula police have started investigation and the body has been sent for post mortem.
YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, his mother and Honorary President of the party YS Vijayamma and other family members have left for Pulivendula.
