Repalle (Bapatla dist), May 6: Elucidating that he has planted the seeds and saplings of door to door happiness, welfare and development five years ago, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asserted that they will grow into most remarkable trees in the next 10 to 15 years elevating the lives of the poor in a big way.
Addressing a huge public meeting here on Monday, the Chief Minister underscored the need of voting YSRCP to power for the next five years to continue the cultivation further.
Likening himself to a committed farmer, he said that the people had given him the responsibility of cultivating the agricultural field known as Andhra Pradesh five years ago and he had begun cultivating it by sowing a slew of welfare schemes and reforming the educational, administrative and medical health sectors.
Government has disbursed Rs. 2.70 lakh crore through DBT for welfare schemes and delivered social pensions at door step through the volunteer system, empowering the women, farmers and the self-employed persons, besides taking the health care to the door step of people.
Government has also created 2.31 lakh Government jobs and distributed 31 lakh house site pattas besides constructing 22 lakh houses for weaker sections, he said, adding that the educational sector has been revolutionised through Nadu-Nedu and schemes like Amma Vodi, Vidya Deevena, Vidya Kanuka, digitisation of class rooms, introduction of IB and CBSE syllabus and bilingual text books have improved the standards in Government schools.
Schemes like YSR Cheyuta, Aasara, Sunna Vaddi, EBC Nestham, Kapu Neshtam, Rythu Bharosa, e-cropping, RBKs, Jagananna Thodu, Chethodu, Nethanna Neshtam and Matsyakara Bharosa have resulted in the empowerment of women, farmers and self-employed sections in the last five years.
In 2014, Naidu contested the elections in alliance with Jana Sena and BJP but took all sections of people for a ride by throwing the election manifesto into the dust bin, and is out to repeat the same act.
He said he has clicked buttons 130 times for the welfare of the people and urged them to press two buttons for the YSRCP in the ensuing elections, one for Assembly and the other for Lok Sabha and give it a clean sweep victory of 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats.
