Anti-Farmer Rule Will Not Be Tolerated

Ananthapuram: YSRCP's general secretary, Anantha Venkatrami Reddy, declared that they would not tolerate it if irrigation water was not provided. Demanding for provision of water from Tungabhadra upper canal to Ananthapuram district, he held a dharna along with farmers at Kalluru highway in Garladinne mandal on Saturday. They raised slogans blaming the Government for its anti-farmer ways. Speaking to the media, Anantha Venkatrami Reddy and district party president Sankar Narayana commented that the Government was not willing to provide water in spite of Srisailam project being full with 6 TMC water.

They cautioned that they would fight until the Government announced to provide water for 3 months. Blaming Chandrababu for conspiring in the matter, they reminded that YSR should be credited for bringing Krishna waters through Handri-Neeva project. Chandrababu was shifting the water to Kuppam constituency, they complained.
