Guntur: YSRCP's official spokesman, Ambati Rambabu, remarked that Chandrababu was behaving strangely in foreign craze and setting Indian culture on fire in the name of beach festival. He condemned Babu's attempt to import British culture, over not respecting Indian culture. Announcing that YSRCP was against the bikini festival, he suggested Chandrababu to re-think about the decision. Speaking to the media at YSRCP's office in Guntur, he suggested that Babu should go abroad with his family if he was so crazy about the foreign culture and revealed how women's organisations and people's organisations were slamming the idea of the beach festival.
Ambati ridiculed that the lover bird of Chandrababu was BJP and wondered what its response would be to the idea of the beach festival. Remarking that Venkaiah Naidu was responsible to announce BJP's stand, he reminded how the ally organisations of BJP, like ABVP, Janasangh, RSS and Bhajarangdal, that usually opposed the celebration of Valentine's Day and gave away nuptial chains to couples who met on the day. He questioned what, in light if this, was BJP's opinion about the beach festival. He wondered if they would bring 9000 nuptial chains for the 9000 couples being invited by Chandrababu to Visakhapatnam.
Ambati questioned if BJP's state president and MP Haribabu was unconcerned about the culture being set ablaze by Babu. Commenting that this was another affair just like capital city construction to earn commissions, he slammed Chandrababu for insulting Indian technicians. Stating that the Government would even conduct gambling clubs and recording dances if left uninhibited, he commented that the Government should bend its head in shame. Slamming that event being planned in the name of tourism development, he suggested that the Government should rethink about the programme.
