YSRCP Leaders Arrested

  • Government is behaving tyrannically
  • Kapu movement cannot be suppressed by police forces

Kakinada: Tense situation was built up on Prathipadu highway in East Godavari district. The police hindered the leaders of YSRCP who were on their way to Kirlampudi to meet Kapu movement leader and former minister Mudaragada Padmanabham. Party leaders Ambati Rambabu, Routhu Surya Prakash, Jakkampudi Raja, Thota Subbarao Naidu and Sunkata Chini were arrested by the police and moved to Rajahmundry.
  
Speaking on this occasion, Ambati Rambabu condemned their arrest and confided that the employment of police forces could not suppress Kapu movement. He slammed creation of scary environment in the state. YSRCP activists, on the other hand, staged an agitation against the atrocious nature of the police.

Ambati stated that they were only going to know the situation of Mudragada who had been house arrested. He criticised the Government for hindering the peaceful Styagraha Padayatra of Mudragada and deploying the police to create chaotic environment locally. Ambati mentioned that protesting peacefully and democratically was everybody's right and warned that Chandrababu would have to pay the price if he tried to oppress the movement.
