YSRCP MLAs and MLCs being arrested by police at Telugu Talli statue in Hyderabad on Friday. Police foiled the Party's plan to take out a Padayatra from the Telugu Talli statue to the Gandhi statue in the Assembly and stage a Dharna in support of Samaikya Andhra.
Hyderabad, Sept 20,
2013: Police today arrested the YSRCP MLAs and MLCs at the Telugu Talli statue
here after they set out on a Padayatra to the Gandhi statue in the assembly
premises.
The MLAs were to stage
a Dharna at the Gandhi statue demanding the Centre to keep the state united.
The arrested MLAs were
then taken to the Gandhi Nagar police station. Party honourary president Smt.
Y.S. Vijayamma later visited them and condemned the arrest.
