Rajampet, (Annamaya dist), May 9: Mocking at BJP leaders’ claims that double engine sarkar will usher in development, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the TDP-led alliance leaders why they have failed to implement the election promises during the NDA term between 2014-19.
Addressing a huge public meeting here on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have failed to respond on the special category status aspirations of Andhra Pradesh people.
Instead, the BJP leaders delivered speeches to satisfy the whims and fancies of TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu, foster son Pawan Kalyan, Vadinamma (Purandheswari) and their friendly media, he said.
The agenda of the TDP, BJP and Jana Sena is of no use for the people, he said, objecting to Amit Shah’s speech on introduction of English medium in Government schools.
Are your children pursuing education in local languages, he asked the alliance leaders, cautioning the people that a vote for TDP and allies will get rid of the opportunity of pursuing studies in English medium and stoppage of all other welfare schemes.
Describing the alliance as a feudalistic combine, the Chief Minister stressed on the need to defeat such forces in the ensuing elections.
While he is urging people to vote for YSRCP after fulfilling 99 per cent of its election promises, the TDP and its allies are trying to hoodwink people with false and impracticable assurances and such a dispensation should be rejected outright.
Disclosing that YSRCP local leaders are seeking a medical college for Rajampeta, he said that he would take steps to establish the 18th medical college here during his second term.
If you want to see the completion of Annamayya Project and Galeru Nagari canal till Railway Korduru, you should elect the YSRCP candidate in the ensuing elections, he told the people.
