No safety for women in Coalition govt.

YSRCP Women’s Wing President and MLC Varudu Kalyani

Tadepalli, April 2,: YSRCP Women’s Wing President and MLC Varudu Kalyani criticized the state government for failing to protect women. Addressing the media, she condemned the brutal attack on a mother and daughter in Visakhapatnam and demanded immediate action against the accused. She highlighted the alarming rise in crimes against women, with nearly 70 incidents reported daily, and blamed the government’s negligence.
She pointed out that 22 POCSO cases have been registered in the Home Minister’s district, yet no decisive action has been taken. She also raised concerns over the Rajahmundry Anjali case, where police inaction has delayed justice. Despite claims of safety measures like the ‘Shakti App,’ crimes continue unabated.
Kalyani accused the government of misusing law enforcement for political vendettas while neglecting public safety. She urged strict action against offenders and accountability from the government to ensure women’s protection.
