Tadepalli, March 31: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has strongly condemned the murder of Kuruba Lingamayya, a BC activist of YSRCP, in the Sri Sathya Sai district. The incident occurred in Papireddipalli, Ramagiri mandal, under the Rapthadu constituency.
YS Jagan expressed deep anguish, stating that law and order in the state has completely deteriorated, with no semblance of governance. He accused TDP leaders of brutally killing the YSRCP activist for questioning their injustices and opposing their attacks, reflecting the ruling party’s oppressive tactics. He highlighted that assaults on YSRCP workers and leaders have become routine, with the police, meant to ensure protection, allegedly colluding with ruling party leaders, leaving the safety of individuals in the state uncertain.
YS Jagan further pointed out the failure of the police during the recent by-elections in Ramagiri mandal, attributing the incident to their inability to curb the atrocities of ruling party leaders and safeguard democracy.
Despite YSRCP MPTC members boycotting the elections out of fear due to TDP leaders’ intimidation, the police not only failed to act but also filed false cases against YSRCP leaders while supporting the ruling party. He condemned the targeting of marginalized and weaker sections for political vendetta, calling it deplorable.
YS Jagan assured that those responsible for this heinous act would be brought to justice and warned of strict legal action.
Expressing profound condolences to Kuruba Lingamayya’s family, he reaffirmed the party’s unwavering support for them during this difficult time.
