YSRCP questions coalition’s silence on Kasinayana Ashram demolition

former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy

Tirupati, March 16: YSRCP has slammed the coalition government for the demolition of Kasinayana Jyothi Kshetram and the variation of reactions from the coalition partners which has put the sanctity of holy shrines at stake and are caught in the whirl of ideological confusions.
Speaking to media here on Sunday, former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said while Nara Lokesh has apologized for the demolition after the widespread ire vented out by devotees, Pawan Kalyan, who has vowed to upkeep the Sanathana dharma and is the Forest Minister has been maintaining stoic silence while the collation partner BJP and Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu did not open up on the issue.
The Endowment Minister went on record that the demolition was carried out as it is in the Tiger Reserve Zone and if this is taken into consideration will the colaiton government spare Srisailam which also falls under the same zone, he questioned.
Lokesh offering apology and coming forward for reconstruction on one hand and the concerned minister Pawan Kalyan exposes the differences in the coalition as BJP remains a silent spectator. When there was a stampede during Vaikunta Ekadasi Pawan Kalyan made a big show while Lokesh was indifferent.
Holy places and their sanctity are at stake under the coalition government as they are caught in the political web of coalition partners, he said adding that Chandarbabu has the history of demolishing temples and Kasinayana Kshetram has been the most revered place which provides anna danam to devotees on a daily basis.
Chandrababu has been trying to belittle the sanctity of the temple to get political mileage by targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and has raised the Tirupati laddu controversy which attracted the Supreme Court ire. The foundation of Chandrababu’s power is on murder politics, he said.
The Srivari Kalyan was first done under the leadership of Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy and it is not a new event invented by Chandrababu Naidu, he said.
There has been incidents of red sanders being seized, unruly elements entering the temple and such incidents regularly which shows that the coalition has no respect for sanctity of the temples.
