Foreign jaunts for personal interests

Hyderabad, March 20: The foreign jaunts
of Chandrababu Naidu seems to be only to further his personal and commercial
interests and not to attract foreign investments as the atmosphere in the State
is not conducive for the inflow of investments, YSR Congress has said.
‘Chandrababu Naidu has been touring
foreign countries on the pretext of attracting investments but they seem to be
only to explore opportunities to further his business investments as the indicators
of investors showing interest in the state are not visible,’ Party MLC K Veerabhadraswamy
told reporters her on Sunday.
The Finance Minister boasting that
Investments worth Rs 4.67 lakh crores have come to the state stands as a mirage
as not a single industry has been opened and on the contrary many jute and
ferro-alloy units are being closed down.
Even during the nine year term during
1995-2004, Chandrababu Naidu had made tall claims by organising Partnership
Summits and boasting of huge investment inflow but that has come a cropper.
He was only dropping names that top
world leaders, who visited our country, had also come to the state capital but
it was limited only to publicity, he said.
Now he is in a hurry opening offices in
major cities and they apparently are not to attract investments but to explore
opportunities for him and his coterie, he said adding that no effort was being
made to pursue the Centre in implementing the assurances given in the
Reorganisation Act.
With the loans of farmers and DWACRA
groups on the rise and students not getting their fees reimbursement the State
is facing crisis and has a grim picture which is not conducive for investments,
he said.
TDP leaders are scared of YS Jagan Mohan
Reddy which is the sole reason why they are leveling baseless allegations
against him, he said.
