Minister Shows Vengeful Behaviour

  • The police show atrocious behaviour, provoked by minister Palle
  • Minority leader arrested during Namaz time
  • Muslims siege the police station
  • YSRCP leader gets the minority leader released
Ananthapuram: The police showed over-enthusiasm, provoked by TDP minister of the minorities, Palle Raghunatha Reddy. He showed vengeful behaviour towards the minorities who were quitting TDP against his will to join YSRCP. As Muslims and YSRCP activists revolted when he deployed the police to show their atrocious behaviour, the minister and his followers backed off. This happened in Ananthappuram on Friday.

Muthavalli Mohammed Rasool from Donnikota village of Nallamada mandal, followed by 200 people from almost 50 minority families, got ready to join YSRCP in the presence of YSRCP's coordinator of Puttaparthi constituency, Duddugunta Sridhar Reddy. As Rasool set out to attend Namaz on the early hours of Friday, the police arrested him suddenly and took him to the police station. Upon knowing this, the villagers, the minorities and YSRCP leaders and activists reached the station, hundreds in number, led by Duddugunta Sridhar Reddy.

They staged an agitation demanding to know why Rasool had been arrested. They argued with the police and questioned how they could act as per the orders of minister Palle, citing some old case registered against his son. They held a dharna in front of the police station and raised slogans against the police and Palle. Duddugunta had finally gotten Rasool released, much to the delight of the minorities.

Vengeful behaviour should be given up
YSRCP in-charge, Duddugunta Sridhar Reddy, called the arrest of Rasool a sheer act of vengeance and suggested that it was unfair and not likely what a leader should do. He reminded to the minister that power would not last long.
