MP Midhun writes to PM, HM over security concerns of YS Jagan

New Delhi, Feb 20: YSRCP Floor Leader in Lok Sabha, MP P.V. Midhun Reddy, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressing serious concerns over the inadequate security provided to former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In his letter, Midhun Reddy highlighted multiple security lapses, including incidents at Jagan Mohan Reddy’s residence and during his recent visit to the Guntur Mirchi Market Yard.
He accused the state government of neglecting security arrangements and suggested that these lapses could be part of a larger conspiracy by the coalition government to restrict the former Chief Minister’s movements.
The MP pointed out that despite Jagan Mohan Reddy having Z+ category security, there have been repeated failures in ensuring his protection. He stated that the reduction in security personnel and the deteriorating condition of bulletproof vehicles pose a serious threat to his safety. The incident in Guntur, where there was an alarming lack of security despite prior intimation to officials, has raised concerns among the public.
Midhun Reddy further stated that such targeted actions by the state government create panic among the people and set a dangerous precedent.
He urged the Prime Minister and Home Minister to intervene immediately and instruct the Central Home Department to enhance security arrangements for Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He emphasized that improving security measures would not only ensure the safety of Jagan Mohan Reddy but also help maintain public confidence and peace in Andhra Pradesh.
