Smear campaign against Kodali Nani

Tadepalli, March 19: YSRCP leaders from the Gudivada constituency strongly condemned the article published in a vernacular daily, alleging an Rs. 100 crore scam in soil excavation activities in Gudivada. The delegation including Peyyala Adam, MPP Nandivada, Matta John Victor (SC cell president, Krishna DT), Kotapalli Nagu (Organising secretary), and Vempati Simon (Secretary), dismissed the claims as baseless, accusing yellow media of targeting their leader, Kodali Nani, and the YSRCP.
The leaders noted that on March 10, similar allegations of a Rs. 200 crore scam surfaced in the yellow media. They clarified that Kodali Nani purchased 178 acres at Rs. 52 lakh per acre, spending Rs. 47 crore on leveling, with the government allocating Rs. 47 crores for development works and Rs. 41 crore billed. They questioned how a Rs.100 crore or 200 crore scam could occur when estimates and bills were transparent, and supervised by a committee of senior officials including the Panchayat Raj DE, Housing DE, NRS DE, and District Collector.
They accused the coalition government and supportive media of diversionary tactics to mask unfulfilled election promises, citing Kodali Nani’s achievements under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure, new hospital, bus stand, Auto-Nagar flyover, and house pattas for 13,000 families, as evidence of Gudivada’s transformation. The yellow media aimed to harass Kodali Nani with fabricated cases, urging the public to reject this propaganda. They also criticized the government’s failure to deliver scholarships women’s free bus promises and other election promises while targeting opposition leaders like Kodali Nani, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, and Perni Nani.
The leaders vowed to expose these falsehoods, calling on Andhra Pradesh’s people to assess media claims critically and affirm their resolve to defend their leaders and legacy.
