Tadepalli, April 21: YSRCP convened a state-level executive meeting of its Scheduled Caste (SC) Wing at the Party Central office to strategize on strengthening party organization and advancing Dalit empowerment.
Attendees included YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, SC Cell State President TJR Sudhakar Babu, Working President Kommuri Kanakarao, former ministers Merugu Nagarjuna, Taneti Vanita, Adimulapu Suresh, and Gollapalli Surya Rao, former MP Nandigam Suresh, MLCs M. Arun Kumar and Pandula Ravindra Babu, former MLAs, former MLCs, senior leaders, and district SC Cell presidents.
The leaders paid tributes to late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram for their contributions to social justice.
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy highlighted YSRCP’s inclusive governance under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, which uplifted five crore lives through equitable policies and welfare schemes for SCs and minorities. He accused the TDP-JSP-BJP coalition of oppressive rule, citing false cases and harassment, and urged members to counter misinformation, strengthen grassroots efforts, and prepare for elections to secure a historic victory.

TJR Sudhakar Babu and Kommuri Kanaka Rao praised Jagan’s policies, including land titles, English-medium education, and cabinet roles for SCs, while condemning the coalition for rising Dalit atrocities, particularly in Pithapuram.
They called for uniting to reinstate Jagan as Chief Minister. Former MP Nandigam Suresh criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for suppressing Dalits and neglecting the Ambedkar statue in Vijayawada, unlike Jagan’s respectful initiatives.
Former Home Minister Taneti Vanita lauded Jagan for appointing five Dalits to his cabinet, including a Deputy Chief Minister, and denounced the coalition’s false propaganda. Rajya Sabha MP Gollapalli Suryarao rejected coalition claims of community division, emphasizing unity under Jagan.
Former Ministers Adimulapu Suresh and Merugu Nagarjuna praised Jagan’s visionary leadership and vowed to protect the Ambedkar Smriti Vanam from the coalition’s privatization attempts.
Former Minister Gollapalli Surya Rao, former MLAs Kambala Jogulu, Talari Venkata Rao, Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah, and spokesperson Velpula Ravikumar criticized the coalition’s welfare failures. Former MLAs Korumutla Srinivasulu, Kaile Anil, Alajangi Joga Rao, and spokesperson Kakumanu Rajasekhar condemned efforts to privatize the Ambedkar Smriti Vanam. Former MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao and MLC M. Arun Kumar discussed grassroots organizational strategies. MLC Pandula Ravindra Babu and Taneti Vanita addressed political reforms, while MP Gollapalli Suryarao and former MLA M. Jagan Mohan Rao covered economic reforms. Former Ministers Adimulapu Suresh and Merugu Nagarjuna spoke on social reforms. The meeting concluded with unanimous approval of resolutions and Sudhakar Babu’s outline of future actions.
