Tadepalli, April 28: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) conducted a media workshop at the party’s central office in Tadepalli for district official spokespersons and state representatives of affiliated wings. Senior leaders, including State Co-ordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, MLC Lella Appireddy, State General Secretary Gadikota Srikanth Reddy, and State General Secretary (Media) Pudi Srihari, addressed the participants.
The workshop aimed to equip spokespersons with strategies to effectively communicate the party’s vision and policies at the grassroots, while firmly countering the opposition’s false narratives. Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy stressed the need for representatives to strengthen their understanding of key issues and enhance their outreach using social media and technology to directly connect with the masses.
He highlighted the challenges posed by the TDP under Chandrababu Naidu, which heavily depends on media manipulation and fake propaganda to mislead people. He underlined the importance of building swift and wide-ranging awareness to expose TDP’s misinformation campaigns.
Drawing comparisons, Sajjala said that while YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy believed in governance rooted in public service, Chandrababu Naidu relied on controlling narratives through media influence. He pointed to TDP’s use of fake news factories and their attempts to divert attention from large-scale scams in sand mining, contractor dealings, and Amaravati real estate.
The misuse of mobilization advances without intent to execute projects, illegal arrests to create fear, and failure to fulfil grand promises were cited as examples of TDP’s mal-governance. Sajjala noted growing public resentment against Naidu’s administration.
He emphasized that Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s governance was focused on welfare, reducing inequalities, and building a responsible administration without extravagance. Even after the electoral loss, the foundations laid by Jagan's government enable the party to maintain strong engagement with the people.
Sajjala called on the district spokespersons to reconnect with communities, address misinformation, expose systemic failures at the local level, and remain consistently accessible and responsive to public concerns to further strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.
