Srikanth Reddy condemns Chandrababu’s inaction in clearing Arogyasri’s dues

Hyderabad: Speaking to the media at the YSRCP Party office in Hyderabad, YSRCP MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy condemned Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's inaction in clearing the ArogyaSri dues to hospitals in Andhra Pradesh.
He said that if Chandrababu Naidu doesn't clear the Rs 500 Crore dues to AP hospitals to ensure that Hospitals call off their strike and resume work, then the YSRCP and its workers would initiate a state-wide protest until the dues are cleared.
He also said that if the Chief Minister had enough money to conduct expensive boat races and invite foreigners to Vijayawada and attend swearing-in-ceremonies in other states, then why doesn't he have cash to clear Aarogyasri dues. He also has the time to attend celebrity's weddings but has no time to attend to the people of Andhra Pradesh, he questioned.
The Aarogyasri, 104 and 108 ambulance services were like a boon given to the people of the lower economic strata by the former chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. There are so many people dependent on the Aarogyasri Scheme and the entire healthcare system including the 108 and 104 Ambulance services are in doldrums in AP, he said. The same program was emulated as a model health care program in their states.
When we enquired as to why the dues were not being cleared, we got know that Chandrababu's son Nara Lokesh had not received his cut and hence the payment was stalled. Another harsh rule implemented was that if the people didn't take rations for three months then their Aarogyasri benefits would be cut .
The Aarogyasri services and 104 and 108 ambulance services are slowly being sidelined for Chandrababu's political gains and this has been raised by the YSRCP chief and the leader of the opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the assembly on several occasions.
The YSRCP MLA also stated that if the Aarogyasri dues of Rs 500 Crores are not cleared and the 104, 108 Ambulance services not restored, then the YRS Congress Party workers along with the people of AP will call for a state-wide protest until the dues are cleared and the health care system is restored, he concluded.
