AP today exemplifies failure and corruption in every field

YSRCP leader Dharmana Prasada Rao

Srikakulam: Senior YSRCP leader Dharmana Prasada Rao tore into Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu for pretending to have concern for the poor and homeless. Without completing the process of the few houses the AP government had sanctioned, Chandrababu Naidu was now issuing letters as if houses would be built for the homeless. The AP chief minister had always been trying to create confusion in the minds of the people on public housing by citing all kinds of tie-ups, he said.

The senior YSR Congress party leader said that Andhra Pradesh today exemplifies failure and corruption in every field. Chandrababu Naidu pretends as if he does not know about the public sentiment. After having sold Amaravati, lock stock and barrel, he says that the agreement that Chandrababu had signed with Singapore-based companies cannot be placed in public domain.

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister uses the pretext of confidentiality. “What is confidential about the construction of the capital city built with public money?” he demanded to know. “Is this what you mean by transparent governance?” he asked Chandrababu Naidu in a direct poser.

Dharmana cited the example of the neighbouring state of Odisha when it comes to transparent governance. Not a single GO was considered confidential there, he pointed out.

Chandrababu Naidu asked the people of the state to give wages for his hard work. After having looted the state completely, how does he expect the masses to give wages, he questioned. Central government funds were diverted and misutilised completely, he pointed out.

Dharmana lambasted the Chandrababu government for allocating 40% of NREGA funds given by the Centre to material component for laying CC roads which was nothing but a convenient way of looting public money. These corrupt activities began with the Chief Minister and went right down to the local TDP leaders, he said.

Dharmana pointed out that even former chief secretaries have publicly criticise the Chandrababu Naidu for blatant irregularities. They recalled instances of cabinet sanctions to your regular decisions in violation of government business rules.

Chandrababu Naidu was not in a position to answer the criticism levelled against him by Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao because he knows that he has no answers. Only yesterday, the Prime Minister described Chandrababu as the most corrupt chief minister in the country, the senior YSRCP leader pointed out.

Dharmana flayed the TDP chief for wasting huge amounts of public money on his jaunts and also in the name of Pushkarams. The state of Andhra Pradesh today was reeling under debts, he pointed out.

He said that the Praja Sankalpa Yatra undertaken by YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was a historic movement which highlighted the widespread corruption of the TDP government in all areas. YS Jagan created public awareness about the failure of the Chandrababu Naidu government in every single field, he pointed out.
