Naidu fosters toxic social media culture, targets YSRCP workers

Tadepalli, April 26: Former Minister and senior YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu strongly criticized Chandrababu Naidu for fostering toxic social media posts even while failing to deliver on a single promise he made. Despite his inaction, his supporting media outlets continue to project him as a hero. In reality, Chandrababu is not a hero but a villain who has historically behaved in a villainous manner.
Upon assuming office, Chandrababu Naidu boasted that he would curb social media misuse by threatening to “cut the tails” of those critical online and claimed he would use the PD Act against them. However,  now he openly encourages and supports individuals who post highly offensive and vulgar content targeting YSRCP leaders and their families, especially former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Ambati exposed how individuals like Chebrolu Kiran, infamous for abusive and vulgar content, were not only protected but even fast-tracked through legal proceedings under political pressure. "After his arrest on April 11, Kiran was shockingly released by April 23, a speed unprecedented for any social media activist under custody. Police did not even seek custody in this case," Rambabu revealed, stating that the judiciary itself questioned the unusual haste.
Further, hundreds of individuals working under 'i-TDP' (TDP's IT wing) are operating under Chandrababu’s direct supervision. The more abusive their posts, the greater their rewards. "Chandrababu’s every word is a lie," he said, exposing how YSRCP leaders, including former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, were subjected to morphed images and character assassination by accounts encouraged by Naidu and his son Lokesh.
Highlighting the TDP's deeper conspiracy, Rambabu detailed how under ITDP, thousands of online workers like Chebrolu Kiran, Seema Raja, Kirrak RP, and others are nurtured. "I have details of 71 such fake IDs operated under ITDP," he said, displaying abusive posts made by TDP-affiliated accounts like Yash Bodduluri, Gharshana Media, and Swati Chowdary.
Chandrababu mastered the art of personal attacks since his betrayal of NTR and continues to find sadistic pleasure in character assassination to this day. Channels like ABN, with Venkat Krishna and Radha Krishna, propagate morphed and malicious content without any accountability. Further, he exposed how Chandrababu personally promised payments and prizes during Zoom meetings to those generating high social media engagement, including morphed and abusive content. Rambabu even displayed videos showing Chandrababu’s direct encouragement of such activities.
Referring to the government's deteriorating condition, Rambabu said: "Today, when YSRCP raises valid criticisms, instead of responding politically, Chandrababu and Lokesh hide behind the likes of Seema Raja and Kirrak RP to answer. Depending on these social media psychopaths shows how deeply Chandrababu has fallen." Sounding a strong warning, Rambabu stated: "If these despicable practices continue, once our government is re-elected, strict legal action will follow. No one will be spared."
He also criticized Home Minister Anitha, claiming that she merely holds the title, while the Home Department is effectively run by Lokesh. Ambati vowed that if police fail to act on their complaints, YSRCP will pursue the matter legally. "We will not remain silent in the face of the perverse activities happening on social media. We will continue to fight back, both legally and politically," he concluded.
