How can a govt hand over sensitive information to companies?

YSRCP leader Botsa Satyanarayana

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Botsa Satyanarayana, countered the arguments made by the ruling Telugu Desam Party(TDP) government on YSRCP over the data breach case. He along with another leader Balasouri held a press conference at the Central party office at the Lotus Pond, on Tuesday.

He remarked that it’s the government job to confirm if government data has been robbed, and not the YSRCP. Botsa Satyanarayana referred to the statements made by Andhra Pradesh Assembly speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, stating that since Hyderabad is the joint capital of AP since ten years, and now how can he question as to why YSRCP lodged a complaint in Hyderabad and not in AP. Since the company is located in Hyderabad the jurisdiction logically falls in Hyderabad, Telangana.

YSRCP leader reminded that it was the AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who left Hyderabad after being caught in the Vote for Note case. Botsa pointed out that the retired IAS officer J Satyanarayana, was working with the UIDA and is responsible for leaking the Aadhaar card information to private companies for political benefits. He clarified that individuals and companies have data, but their interest lay in the data breach about the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.

YSRCP leader remembered that in Vizianagaram when the Aadhar card information and voter list were found in the I-Pad it was sidelined by TDP saying that this information is a public document. He reiterated that YSRCP has complained to the DGP and election commission regarding the I- Pad.

Botsa Satayanarayan lambasted the TDP leaders asking how can they criticize YSRCP when they are the ones who have been complaining to the Election Commission about the data breach scam. He questioned that if the government had no links with the IT Grids India Private Limited, then why has the government allocated contracts worth crores and lands to the company; how can a government hand over sensitive information about citizens to the private companies?

Botsa Satyanarayana questioned how can YSRCP in the opposition delete the votes. He reminded that YSRCP leaders and supporters have been put behind bars for complaining about the data breach, and being at such a respectable position, speaker Kodela is also acting in a manner drawing disgrace to the position.

YSRCP leader added that there is no use of propaganda by TV channels favourable to TDP. Botsa demanded Election commission to take action against the c
