We empowered weaker sections: CM

Kaikalur, Eluru (Dist), May 11: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohana Reddy stated that Government has brought in revolutionary changes in education, agriculture and health sectors besides empowering the weaker and self-employed sections by implementing scores of welfare schemes in the last 59 months.
Addressing a huge public meeting here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that a vote for YSRCP will ensure the return of volunteers, DBT welfare schemes and door delivery of monthly social pensions while a vote for the TDP will result in the loss of welfare schemes. 
After YSRCP came to power, schemes like Nadu-Nedu, Amma Vodi, Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena have revolutionised the educational system that has made the English medium schools accessible to the poor while enabling 93 per cent professional students receive fee reimbursement. 
Self-help groups of women have also been empowered through the innovative schemes like YSR Cheyutha, Aasara, Sunna Vaddi, Kapu Nestham, EBC Nestham while Government has also distributed 31 lakh house sites and constructed 22 lakh houses for the poor.
Farmers and self-employed sections like Nayee Brahmins, tailors and fishermen have also been empowered with schemes like Rythu Bharosa, input subsidy, RBKs, Jagananna Thodu, Vahana Mitra, Chethodu, Nethanna Nestham, Matsya Kara Bharosa and Law Nestham, he added.
Government has also taken the health care to the door step of people by enhancing the Aarogyasri limit to Rs. 25 lakhs and implementing Aarogya Asara, Jagananna Suraksha, family doctors and villages clinics, he said, adding that village and ward secretariats have been extending 600 civic services in the villages,
While this is the history of the YSRCP, Chandrababu Naidu has dumped his election manifesto into the dustbin after winning the 2014 mandate with false promises in alliance with BJP and Jana Sena, he said.
