People Roar "Jai Andhra Pradesh" In One Voice

Visakhapatnam: The leader of opposition and YSRCP president
YS Jagan has blown the clarion for the consolidated fight of the party against
the deception of the central and the state Governments in the matter of special
category status. Jai Andhra Pradesh public meeting was conducted at Indira
Priyadarshini Municipal Stadium in Visakhapatnam in demand for the special
category status, the hope of 5 crore people of AP. He slammed the Governments
for ignoring the status, the elixir of the state. People roared in a single
voice.

Babu-Modi duo promised
at the time of elections to give the status to the state and have been bluffing
for the past 2.5 years but have deceived the people for their selfish benefits.
Babu has mortgaged the cause to get out of his cases and is going after special
package to fill their pockets. People are furious towards his welcoming the
special package as soon as the union Government announced it in the midnight.
They are extending solidarity towards YS Jagan and his relentless fight for
achieving SCS for the bright future of the state. They arrived in huge numbers to
take part in the public meeting held at Visakhapatnam today.

Discontent towards the
Government

People resisted the
bifurcation of the state and got their voices heard through Samaikyandhra
movement. After facing blow in the form of bifurcation, they gave a serious
answer to the union Government in the 2014 elections. But they voted for TDP
and BJP, believing in their fake promises. After realizing their mistake in no
time, they are at utter denial towards the Governments.

In support of YS Jagan

After facing betrayal
from the union and the state Governments and seeing YS Jagan fighting for their
welfare for 2.5 years, they got ready to walk along with him to achieve the
benefits deserved by the state. As SCS will bring employment opportunities
through advent of industries due to discount, they realised that the future of
the state is dependent on the status. In accord with their feelings and hopes,
YS Jagan conducted Jai Andhra Pradesh meeting today at Visakhapatnam and aimed
at making the voice of the people heard by the national leaders at Delhi.

Conspiracies to fail
the public meeting

After trying to bluff
people that special package is a better option than SCS and to mortgage people’s
benefits for his selfishness, Chandrababu and his allies tried to water down
the spirit of Jai Andhra Pradesh. They tried to hinder people from coming to
the meeting with the help of the police. They instructed students and DWCRA
women not to attend the meeting. Local TDP MLAs also visited houses
individually to threaten people from attending the public meeting. They brought
pressure on GVMC officials and tried to get flags and flexis of YSRCP removed,
while those of TDP remained there in light of Jana Chaitanya Yatras. The ruling
party tried to deprive the opposition party of its democratic rights. But none
of these attempts could weaken the spirit of the meeting. All classes of people
attended the meeting in huge numbers, thus declaring their readiness to be part
of the great struggle for special category status, the elixir of the state.
