Posani Krishnamurali gets bail in all 17 Cases

Tadepalli, March 11: Posani Krishnamurali has been granted bail in all cases filed against him, with relevant courts issuing favourable orders. The courts in Adoni and Vijayawada granted him bail on Tuesday, following the Narsaraopet court’s verdict on Monday an earlier bail from the Rajampet court.
The Chandrababu-led government had registered a total of 17 cases against Posani, allegedly as part of a political vendetta. His arrest took place on February 26, Mahashivaratri day, in Hyderabad by the Obulavaripalle police of Annamayya district, based on statements he made years ago during a press meet. The government is accused of conspiring to deny him legal relief, with police registering cases across the state after his arrest and deliberately withholding details of where the cases were filed to hinder bail efforts.
In a calculated move, the government sought PT warrants in each case, forcing Posani to be transported hundreds of kilometers—from Hyderabad to Vijayawada via Rajampet, then to Narsaraopet, Guntur, Adoni in Kurnool district, back to Suryaraopet in Vijayawada, and finally to Kurnool jail.
Despite being 67 years old and suffering from heart and other health issues, the police subjected him to harassment, allegedly as part of a government strategy to worsen his condition. The YSRCP legal cell brought this conspiracy to the attention of the High Court, presenting compelling arguments that led to decisive intervention. The High Court put an end to the government’s tactics, ordering the issuance of a 35A notice in the registered cases and directing a complete halt to the investigation in a case filed at Visakhapatnam One Town.
Following the High Court’s orders, the YSRCP legal cell actively pursued justice in lower courts, securing bails one by one. The party has stood firmly by Posani throughout this ordeal, ensuring comprehensive support. With bail now granted in all cases, Posani Krishnamurali is expected to be released on Wednesday. This development marks a significant victory against what the YSRCP describes as a politically motivated campaign by the government to suppress dissent.
