New Delhi, April 5: Andhra Pradesh CID teams reached Delhi to arrest MP Midhun Reddy, just a day after telling the High Court that the liquor policy case is still in its early stage. CID also clearly stated that Midhun Reddy is not named as an accused. Based on this, the High Court dismissed his anticipatory bail petition. But surprisingly, CID teams moved to Delhi the next day, raising serious questions.
The way AP CID is handling this case shows clear signs of political pressure and vendetta. From the beginning, the investigation has been biased and controversial. CID officers have allegedly threatened individuals to give false statements and forced them to name certain people. These false statements are now being used to carry out raids and arrest attempts.
Recently, raids were held at multiple houses in Hyderabad. During these operations, CID officials reportedly threatened women and warned them they could be taken to police stations. MP Midhun Reddy has now approached the Supreme Court seeking protection and justice from this political harassment.
