Chandrababu's politics are opportunistic, deceptive

Former Minister and YSRCP Guntur District President Ambati Rambabu

Guntur, March 29: Former Minister and YSRCP Guntur District President Ambati Rambabu has strongly criticized Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, calling the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) a party rooted in betrayal. He pointed out that Chandrababu, who was once in Congress, opportunistically took over TDP and has since relied on alliances and deception to survive.

Addressing the media, Ambati Rambabu questioned Chandrababu’s claim that TDP was founded for public service, reminding that he was in Congress when NTR launched TDP to oppose it. He also recalled Chandrababu’s past pledge to contest against NTR if directed by Indira Gandhi. He dismissed the claim that TDP represents the poor, pointing out its constant reliance on alliances with BJP, BSP, Congress, and Janasena.

He criticized Chandrababu’s failure to implement the “Super Six” scheme promised before elections and accused his governance of being built on broken promises. He also slammed Nara Lokesh’s arrogance in power, reminding him of his past statements during Chandrababu’s jail term and warning that those who suffered under TDP are keeping track of its actions.

Ambati Rambabu further accused Chandrababu of financial mismanagement, including the misuse of Amaravati funds and inflating costs to Rs. 26,000 crores and Polavaram project was mortgaged for the benefit of contractors.

Chandrababu’s history is defined by opportunistic alliances and that TDP remains a party built on deception, prioritizing power over principles, he said.
