Tadepalli, April 07: Former Minister Perni Nani accused CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh of falsely claiming YSRCP sold adulterated liquor during its last two years (2019–2024). Addressing the media, he said the coalition has sold the same stock since June 2024 without testing or banning it, despite calling it substandard, akin to Tirupati laddu and Rs. 14 lakh crore debt falsehoods. He questioned why no samples were tested or any of the 20 distilleries (16 approved under Naidu, 2015–2019; none under YSRCP) banned, proving YSRCP’s policy was clean, as consumers remain healthy.
Perni Nani stated that the coalition delayed its swearing-in to incite violence, turning liquor into a “corruption cesspool” for TDP leaders, MLAs, and officials. He flagged the shift in distributors, with Kerala and Bengaluru liquor dominating, hinting at a “red book” revealing beneficiaries. Amid water scarcity, liquor flows freely via belt shops and WhatsApp deliveries, fueled by 30–40% higher sales targets, spiking crimes against women. He criticized Home Minister Anitha for shielding her post with anti-Jagan claims and Pawan Kalyan for abandoning pre-poll promises on women’s safety.
Perni Nani criticized the unfulfilled “Super Six” promise of Rs. 1,500 monthly for women aged 18–59, mocking Lokesh’s “pluck my shirt” challenge as he, Naidu, and Kalyan evade accountability, often in Hyderabad or at shoots. Liquor floods Kuppam, Mangalagiri, and Pithapuram via belt shops, fueled by corruption: a North Andhra minister demands Rs. 2.5 crore yearly, East Godavari MLAs collect Rs. 50,000 monthly per shop, a “ritual” leader takes Rs. 30,000 monthly, a West Godavari MLA secures Rs. 2.3 crore annually plus a 20% stake via a sarpanch, and a Krishna MLA extracts Rs. 10 lakh per bar. Liquor exceeds MRP, and Rs. 99 liquor driving consumers to desperation, leading to widespread public discontent
Perni Nani accused the police of following a “red book constitution,” neglecting public welfare to target YSRCP leaders via phone tapping from a Vijayawada office near Ramesh Hospital. He cited a Dalit’s arrest over a three-year-old post and multiple cases against opposition supporters online, while crimes against women and citizens are ignored.
In the Mithun Reddy case, CID officer Vasudeva Reddy filed three High Court petitions alleging harassment by CID officials. Perni Nani slammed “yellow media” for falsely linking MP Mithun Reddy to a liquor scam, though the court hasn’t named him an accused.
He highlighted a coalition MLC needing 200 police for a minor event in the Deputy CM’s area, exposing the state’s law-and-order collapse. Perni demanded accountability; the coalition enriches MLAs while defaming YSRCP, urging public awareness of their misdeeds.
